Meditation beads are an ideal addition to your daily practice, and these ones are small enough to be carried with you anywhere. This beautiful string is composed of twenty-five beads made of olive wood from the Middle East. Interspaced with them are four gemstone beads, representing the elements & four directions of the magickal universe: air/east (yellow), fire/south (red), water/west (blue) and earth/north (green). Gemstones vary depending upon availability. The large openwork metal bead represents spirit, the fifth element. The sturdy leather lacing has been deliberately left long so that you can add amulets or charms to reflect your personal practices & beliefs. The Tree of Life prayer beads are made with frosted Czech glass beads in colours representing the four seasons. These prayer beads honour the Goddess in her triple nature as Maiden, Mother and Crone. The Maiden is represented with the white opal Czech druks. The Mother is represented with the red opal Czech druks. The Crone is represented with the black Czech druks. (A druk is a round glass bead; these ones are 8mm) Thirteen beads are used in each set to signify the thirteen cycles of the lunar year. The clear spacers represent moonlight flowing out from the Full Moon bead (silver focal bead) throughout the progression from Maiden to Mother to Crone.
